A Groundbreaking Initiative to Provide Free High-Speed Internet For Families in Need

Keeping Our Graduating Seniors Connected

In order to ensure as many Chicago students and households continue to have access to broadband internet as possible, Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Chicago Public Schools and City Colleges of Chicago have further extended Chicago Connected.

All 2021 graduating seniors

Internet service for 2021 graduating CPS seniors will be continued beyond the last day of school through November 30, 2021.

2021 graduates attending City Colleges of Chicago

If you are a CPS graduating senior attending City Colleges of Chicago in the fall of 2021, you can extend your Chicago Connected internet service for up to three years or upon completion of a CCC degree, whichever happens first.

Haven't enrolled yet? You can still sign up! Extend your service and enroll in a 12-week course by September 23 by following these two steps:

  1. Complete the registration form. View Form
  2. Enroll in fall 12-week courses at City Colleges of Chicago. Enroll Now

Your service will continue for the year and you will be eligible for up to two years of additional extensions of the service if you remain enrolled and working towards your college credential.

Fulfilling our Commitment

This extension will ensure service continues for hundreds of high-need students. This change marks the first step toward expanding Chicago Connected to public university students, an expansion the City will continue to prioritize over the coming months.
